Emily Stevenson McDonald Carlisle was born 6 September 1886 to Francis McDonald and Rozella Stevenson in Big Cottonwood (now Holladay) Utah. She married Harvey Cartwright Carlisle on 19 July 1923 and had two children from her marriage. She taught in Granite District, Utah beginning in 1907 and continued into the late forties and early fifties. She served the community and state in many capacities, including time in the Utah State Legislature and playing an active role with Daughter of Utah Pione...
